Kara Carter has led strategic initiatives, including economic development and talent initiatives, for nearly 25 years. Her 15 years as a strategy consultant with Orion Advisory, LLC allowed her to work with senior leadership at large institutions (JPMorgan Chase and Cleveland Clinic), mid-market companies and non-profits. She led the Advancement team for a regional Venture Development Organization, securing and stewarding over $30MM in economic development initiatives across Ohio and upstate New York. Since 2022, Kara has led College Internship Initiatives at Greater Cleveland Partnership. She leads a Northeast Ohio STEM Internship Initiative to connect hundreds of college students to internships in the region, and she leads GCPs Cleveland Talent Alliance focus on attracting and retaining young professionals and college students.
