About
Young Smart and Local is a network of more than 50 cities working to build diverse young talent through the engagement, inclusion and retention of college students and young professionals.
Launched with a national conference in Philadelphia in April 2019, the learning network includes more than 800 professionals in economic development, city government, higher education and business.
Young Smart and Local was co-founded and is managed by Deborah Diamond, former President of Campus Philly and Cecelia Thompson, Executive Director of Action Greensboro. We function as a unique learning network to provide professional development, shared best practices, and access to colleagues around the issue of economic growth through college student and young professional retention and attraction.

To become a part of the network and learn about our regular webinars and next conference, join our e-mail list and join our Young Smart and Local group on LinkedIn.
